Finding Historic Views - A Tutorial Print E-mail
To obtain images from the National Archives:
  1. Go To: http://arcweb.archives.gov/arc/action/AdvancedSearchForm
  2. Click the box: "Descriptions of Archival Materials linked to Digital Copies"
  3. Under "Type of Archival Materials" click "photographs and other graphic materials"
  4. Enter your search term
  5. Follow on-site instructions for printing
    Note: A small percentage of the images at the archives have "restricted" uses.
    Please look for this designation on the pages you intend to print and avoid these views.

To obtain images from the Library of Congress:

  1. Go To: http://lcweb2.loc.gov/pp/cwpquery.html
  2. Enter your search term
  3. Follow on-site instructions for printing
